Very versatile, lightweight, will take a 10" pad
I needed a cheap snare stand to use the basket creating a floating snare stand using Gibraltar parts.
I found this, and I think it's a bargain
It's originally build as a e-drum snare stand, so it's lightweight.
However, it will also function as a normal snare stand with all adjustments possible you'll need.
Including a normal height, and it also goes very low: low enough to make this suitable for children, or to put a very deep kettle on it.
The pleasant surprise came when I adjusted the basket to it's minimal diameter size: it will take a 10" (e)-drum, but also normal 14" kettles.
Excellent.
Adjustment goes via a metal (alloy?) lightweight knob, that still feels solid and turns easily with confidence.
Screws are lock tight, legs are double braces, rubber feet are oversized; this just offers more than usual for the price, including the looks.
Doesn't come with a memory clamp though, but I won't complain for this price.
The diameter of the basket tube is 19mm (3/4"), the diameter of the base (legstand) is 25,4mm (1").
Pretty standard industrial (Tama) sizes.
Very versatile.
Will take a beating under acoustic circumstances as well, but I'd always use a memo clamp to secure it.
Can't find this for sale anywhere else.
Maximum score.
